I know my blog updates have been few and far between.
I like to pretend and tell myself that I am just so busy that I don't have time (which is about 60% true).
The other part of me is just lazy and has lost the inspiration to blog.
It does have a little to do with the fact that I don't enjoy looking at this blog anymore. That it makes me frustrated because I don't know how to make it look pretty and I wish I did!
However, my aunt brought over a few of my mom's journals that she found among her things and I had the opportunity to read them. I was so happy and grateful I had these records of my mom and that she has written them down. Although, I wish she would have written MORE! I learned a lot about her that I never knew, for example: She never had morning sickness while pregnant... WHAT?
Reading those journals was quite inspiring and had me thinking that I just need to document my life better. Not only for me and my own therapeutic reasons, but also for my family, my posterity. How cool is it to read about another time from the perspective of a relative?
So my new goal is to write in my journal or on this blog as often as possible. Even if it is just about the everyday mundane stuff. Even if it is about how I enjoy watching T.V. shows meant for 13 and 14 year olds... (cough, "Vampire Diaries" cough) Because it may not be interesting now, but it might be in 20 years.
Here's to documenting life.
