the clear bra scandal.

Today was my last day...
Receptioning that is. I work at the Legacy Mazda dealership in Orem and I am moving up (in this world!) to accounting where I will be fully in charge of licensing, registering and maybe a few other things. I mean, I get my own extension number and cubical I can decorate and EVERYTHING! This is very exciting.
Well, on this my last evening, a scruffy (probably homeless) old man came through the front doors and asked for a sales person. When he realized he wasn't going to win anything let alone, BUY A CAR, he left with these last words:
"Are you the one who models for this Clear Bra?"
Ok, this may be slightly confusing for those of you who do not know what a "clear bra" is... ESPECIALLY in the car business. A clear bra is a plastic spandex-y liner that can be placed on the front of your car so you can't see it, but it will protect your paint from any damage from bugs, scratches etc. We offer it at Mazda.
So this poor, unfortunate old man tried to make a play on words (I'm assuming) and quite honestly, all I could do is laugh.I am perfectly aware that I am blessed with a sizeable chest AREA but common! The jokes are a little old... I have halted the wear and fashion of my nametag because every day someone manages to comment on my name...
"Oh! Van Buskirk... I never knew that was your last name... A-L-I-X? Wow, very original."
Same to you BUDDY! haha I'm not even that mad. I find it SLIGHTLY entertaining. Good or bad?
Conclusion: I definitely have a future career in the modeling industry.

it's like summer... or something.

I'm blonde.

Upon turning 21 years old, I have decided that I am sick of people telling me what to do... for example, my mom firmly believes that I should NOT attend Culinary Arts school. (So, I shall be trying to enroll this summer.) I also have decided that I am the only person who has to live with my hair as much as I do... it's time for a change.

I didn't intend to have such a striking change in my hair style. Ever since I can remember, I have been a curly hair brunette and most of my life it has been exceptionally long. People would always compliment me on the color.
"The color is absolutely gorgeous... don't ever change it."
Now, granted, I did enjoy my hair color. It was multi-faceted and the perfect shade of brown. But, common... I want to experiment... LIVE A LITTLE!

I figured that since it IS summer, my favorite time of year, that I should pretend like the summer sun actually changes my hair color and so I got highlights... BLEACH highlights. What do you think? She said i could either go lighter or darker with a toner if I wanted but, I kind of like it like this. Scary thought though... I kind of want to go blonde blonde now... what the heck.

Ok. I caved. I got a blog.

Here's the deal. I have a slight obsession with other people's blogs. I am pretty sure that while at work, I am constantly roaming around in blog world pretending like I am actually a part of it. Although there is a very HIGH percentage of blogs that belong to married couples (which I might add, are a lot more entertaining), I thought it might be a nice breath of fresh air to make my own and start the downhill process to addiction - to blogging.
