the itsy bitsy...

...was caught creepin on me in the SHOWER.
Have some dignity and respect!
umm... I was so creeped out and grossed out and wanted to scream every time its little arms waved into the rain-like water falling from the shower head but,
shivers and gagging noises came out instead.
Ani hates germs.

To the point where I literally cannot be in the same room or eye line with one or else I have a panic attack. I couldn't even google "spiders" to find an image for this post for fear that I will have nightmares tonight. WELL folks, I guess I just faced my worst fear because there I was, minding my own business, washing off the day, and I was interrupted by a tan spider that was literally STARING at me whilst in the shower. Mr. Charlotte's Web did not give me any privacy nor the decency to turn around... NOT TO MENTION, he was waving all of his tentacle-like arms at me as if to say "HEY! HEY! HEY! I can see you! And I MAY attack you." He even took a little trip down to my loofah sponge while he THOUGHT I wasn't looking but OH I saw him and I did scream as it climbed back up the one threaded line of web to safety.
UGHHHHH BLAHHH! shivers. EW. AH. I hate the fact that the spider was in my shower and now I need to buy a new loofah sponge because that one is tainted. AH.
Halloween is upon us. The spider said so.

long sigh...
Fall is approaching. I mean, it may already be here. The skies are overcast and there is a slight breeze in the air. Here it is. Fall. What a lovely season. My soul delights in changing seasons.
Life has been a roller coaster these past few weeks.
I have decided to take another semester off school and devote a lot of my time to my job at Shade. That's right people, you are looking at the newest Assistant Manager of Shade Clothing.
I'm not going to lie, I actually quite enjoy it although my new boss, Tan sometimes scares me and since a recent episode of being late to work, those fears have only escalated. Don't worry, I'm working on my authority issues and things are slowly melding together.
My room is also slowly coming together. Things are up on the walls and it's almost complete. I still want to paint the furniture and get some curtains. Other than that, I am satisfied with my space. I love having my own bathroom and two closets. I don't mean to boast but, I am one lucky chica for all the space that I have.
Oh yeah, I highlighted my hair. Well, lowlights mixed with highlights. I enjoy it. Adds some dimension to my hair.
I find myself missing Washington and my home a lot. I already posted about this dilemma but I miss all my friends and my family and good food and autumn in Washington. Oh, I could totally go for some good sushi or Acapulco Fresh right now... mmMMMmmm.
So Halloween is coming up. Any good, creative costume ideas? I am stuck. I was thinking of just being a classic witch with awesome striped socks and a petticoat that puffs out not to mention a sweet broom and hat. I can't decide if I should go all out with a sweet nose and maybe even a green face -- mom style.
For those of you who do now know this, my mom used to dress up as a witch every Halloween when I was little and she would paint her face green and tell us that every Halloween her face would turn green and we would find out when we were older what that was like. Oh mom, I miss you!
So excuse my rambling and extensive nonsense.

let's reiterate here...

"Girls, Aim high, but do not aim so high that you totally miss the target. What really matters is that he will love you, that he will respect you, that he will honor you, that he will be absolutely true to you, that he will give you the freedom of expression and let you fly in the development of your own talents. He is not going to be perfect, but if he is kind and thoughtful, if he knows how to work and earn a living, if he is honest and full of faith, the chances are you will not go wrong, that you will be immensely happy." — Gordon B. Hinckley

sad times.

Today Ani and I were driving home from our mani/pedi date (so to speak) and as we were doing so, there was a bird in the middle of the road Ani had mistaken for a pile of rocks... (you need glasses sister) and HIT the bird.
Now there are feathers in our headlights and we are very distraught and saddened by the recent tragedy.
"WHAT is a bird doing sitting in the middle of the road?" I asked.
Ani replied, "Maybe she was laying eggs."

We'll never know. We'll never know...

I miss it a lot.
How can I miss such a dreary place?

It's my home.

guess what i'm doing...

I'm getting in shape. The complaining stops RIGHT now and I am getting in shape.
I met with a lovely trainer, SCOTTY boy, and he is helping me change my lifestyle.
I am committed to this. I am 100% all about it.
I feel motivated and ready to take it on.
The only thing I am scared about is the actual work outs.
Scott said he will work me.
"You will probably throw up and you will probably cry."

So this is the plan:
1. Eat Breakfast.
This is one of my MAJOR MAJOR problems. Since I don't eat breakfast, my body slows down it's motabolism making it even harder to digest food faster throughout the day. Since I don't eat when I'm sleeping, my body is basically in fasting mode and when I don't eat breakfast, it continues the fast mode then making my body think that I'm starving which consequently, holds on to fat cells to save itself. YEAH! BAD NEWS! So... I am eating breakfast now.
2. No more simple carbs.
This includes white potatoes, white bread, pastas, rice, tortillas... etc. This is going to be the BIGGEST challenge for me. I LOVE my carbs. They are my biggest weakness. That's all I want throughout the day! So, I am giving it up. All for the sake of health. And a sweet body.
3. Eating small meals throughout the day.
This goes along with keeping the motabolism going. I am not a huge snacker so this may be rough for me.
4. Giving up Diet Coke.
This may cause some shedding of tears. But, I have learned that the sodium in this particular drink makes your body retain water and become bloated. SICK. So... goodbye my love. It was a nice run.
5. Limit sodium to about 200 ml a day.
So... If I were to drink diet coke, I could have 1 can one day and that would be my sodium intake for the day. I need to stay away from canned products and things that have a long shelf life. Those items tend to have more sodium in them.
6. No eating past 7pm. UNLESS it's lean meats and vegetables.
This will not be such a huge problem for me since I do not generally eat past that time anyway.
Scott says that if I don't sleep enough and combine it with my current diet, I will not be able to get through a single work out. Sleep is necessary.
8. One free day a aweek.
Once I get into the routine of eating healthier, I get to start having a free day. Where I can eat whatever I want. If I try to maintain the diet all the time, I will probably cave and just quit. With the free day, I can know that if I want something to eat so badly, I can eat it... on FRIDAY. Or something.

So, I am posting this so that you all can know that I am committed to it. You can get me in trouble if you find me not keeping the rules. But, you won't find me not keeping the rules because I am not going to. Things change TODAY.
